Why I'm Deleting my LinkedIn Account
- I never use it
- The times I have used it, its results have been crap
- I never use it
- I’m at a place in my life where I’m all about getting rid of stupid online crap that serves no other purpose than to add cruft to my inbox and sell my shit to marketing firms.
I know that some people positively adore LinkedIn, and I’m not saying that it’s not a good thing for some (hell, maybe most) of it’s users. To me, it’s yet another social network, except it smells too much like corporate types collecting business cards.
And if you are going to ask me why I’d bother deleting it if I never used it, I will say this: just because something’s not actually in my way doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t be disposed of properly when it’s no longer of use. Clean edges, people - that’s the goal.
Just my opinion - go forth, my in-linking friends.
